The company Tesla introduced a new sports car, which can accelerate to hundreds in 1.9 seconds!

Tesla, in the course of the presentation of its first electric truck, also revealed the maps for the next-generation roadster, which plans to launch in series production in 2020.

Ilon Mask has long promised a new car to fans, which will replace Tesla Roadster, which was produced from 2008 to 2012. The second generation of this model (which so far is only a prototype), like the predecessor - two-door: inside there is room for two adults and two children or luggage.

The car will be equipped with automatic controls, but details are not disclosed. Tesla Roadster also received an aggressive appearance and a removable roof.

The front part is characterized by a pair of thin LED headlamps and typical curved Tesla panels, while the rear part is more like a radical concept car than a production car. Among the most intriguing design elements are thin taillights and an aggressive diffuser.

The roadster is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 200 kWh. The power reserve per charge is claimed to be 1000 km.

The announced acceleration time of the new generation Tesla Roadster from 0 to 100 km / h is only 1.9 seconds, and up to 160 km / h the car can accelerate in 4.2 seconds. Distance of a quarter of a mile (400 m) it passes in 8.9 seconds. The maximum speed exceeds 400 km / h.

The car is scheduled for release in 2020. The cost of the first 1000 copies will be not less than 250 000 dollars, in the future the price is planned to be reduced to 200 thousand.
